Three 16mm film reels I ordered containing the 1972 made-for-TV movie "The Catcher" were shipped out from New York today. And featured in that film is a cameo performance from Piano Red. Woo hoo!

Your Chicago Mommy, Brat
As the parents of Cal "Hoy Hoy Boy" Baldi our hearts are shattered as we tell you the news of our son, Cal's passing at age 15 Saturday morning. It was a shock to everyone and we want you all to know how much Cal loved The Blind Man Blues Forum. You made his short life so much more exciting and special. He loved posting (sometimes for hours a day) and we are thankful for your kindness shown to him over the years. This is truly a special blues community you have here. Since age 11 he has been fascinated and enthralled with the blues music and culture. He has amassed a huge blues collection of music and books. He was an accomplished drummer and piano player. He was kind, hard-working, witty, intelligent and a unique individual wise beyond his years. Thank you to Bob Hardy and other generous traders who appreciated Cal and also to Sean Carney who discovered Cal on YouTube and performed on stage with him this past December (a highlight of Cal's life) We will miss going to Chicago this weekend for the Bluesfest and send our best wishes to everyone on the Blindman Blues Forum.
Bluesy Greetings ;-)
