Profile

About Me:
I sing/write a combination of blues and gritty Gospel, acoustic, mostly. I have a passion for walking the line between blues and gospel and am frequently found in churches playing both. My first solo cd "Blues Gonna Show the Way" is fresh off the press and I am looking forward to some time this summer to actually take the time to do gigs and get the word out--sometimes hard with the job!

I am also on the board of directors of the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation in Washington DC which you all might want to check out at: http:// www.acousticblues.com

Favorite Artists and Bands
Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Blind Willie Johnson, Gaye Adegbalola, Roddy Barnes, Mike Baytop to name a few.
Blues with spirit, Gospel with grit.

Hi Kim,
thanks for the comments,it is only my opinion ,but I think the blues following in Australia is pretty small, decent gigs are few and far between, especially if you are over 40.Most of the gigs in Adelaide are for young party cover bands.agents do not book blues bands.I only returned to Australia 18 months ago after being in Scotalnd for the past 20 years. In the eighties I was based in Sydney, gigged 6 nights a week, but also played Irish/Scots and country rock.I wont be gigging for a few months as I am waiting for a hip replacement. But from what I have seen there isnt a lot out there anyway.
Hope someone can prove me wrong. What is your gig scene like.?
