Where do you sell your music online?

I've been a bit quite the past couple of weeks for two reasons. One, sadly, my day job has got in the way, and has crushed my spare time down to moments between sleeping, going to work, coming from work, and hanging out for a few minutes with my kid.

The other reason is because I've been working on adding a Blues Store to the site...a place where I can help get fans in that Blues kind of mood to spend some money on music and other work done by our members.

It's tricky, because there are a lot of different online stores, CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon, Snocap, and so one, and each one has different strengths and weaknesses. One of the biggest challenges is that no one store seems to have every artist I'm looking for.

So I'm curious...what store is your music available on? Which store treats you the best? Any suggestions as to what we should use here on LiveBluesWorld. We're looking for the most artist friendly solution that will actually work on the site.

The first Ecommerce site I used was CD Baby. They have treated me well over the years. So I will probably continue to keep them as my Primary vendor. I tried Tunecore and to be honest am not all that thrilled with them. They got me on iTunes, Emusic, Rhapsody and supposedly on Amazon MP3. But I have yet to find anything on the Amazon site (althought this could be amazons issue). But I am going to just let Tunecore drop. It really isn't worth it in my experience. I can get the same thing with CD Baby now. In fact a friend pointed out that Stripped Bare is available on iTunes. And I considered that an out of print CD (See Seperation Mastering on this site).

One of the nice things about CD Baby was I could accept Credit Cards when selling CD's where I was playing. One of the odd things with CD Baby is their affiliations. Years ago when I was promoting Stripped Bare a person in a Tower Records store in Turkey (a go figure moment) liked my CD enough to order some copies and put it out in the display racks. So it went from a special order CD to an in-stock item. I don't know if any of the other online services have that. But it worked out well for me.

BTW: Beatnik Country and the re-mastered Stripped Bare should be available on CD Baby no later than the end of this month.
