Hoodoo Lady - Memphis Minnie
This is one of my favorite songs by Memphis Minnie. Born around 1897, she was a child prodigy with the banjo/guitar. She could outsing, OUTPLAY, outdrink any of her male conterparts at the time! She recorded hundreds of songs for over 40 years-unheard of for a female back then. In the music world, she is considered equal (if not better-since she would beat them) in talent and voice with the male muscians. She's inspired so many and lived an interesting life...

Patrick, they have remastered much of her works especially from the '30's! Almost anything you hear from her is gonna sound pretty clear, like it is only a few years old. I used to play some of her music when I was stationed in Puerto Rico over 11 years ago, and they loved it! 60+ year ol' music (now 70+) and you can still jam it! Tell me that woman aint bad!

Great performance, and the quality of the recording is quite good, too, considering how old it is.
