Duwayne Burnside performs at the 5th annual North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic in Potts Camp, Mississippi. Duwayne Burnside is the son of blues legend R. L. Burnside. He toured for some time as a member of the North Mississippi Allstars and is joined here for a nice guitar solo exchange by Luther Dickinson of the Allstars and Black Crowes.
The North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic takes place in a thousand acre field bordered by a beautiful creek in rural Mississippi. It is hosted by Kenny Brown, who played guitar with R. L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. The two-day event features performances by many hill country musicians including members of the Burnside and Kimbrough families.
This song was recorded June 26, 2010 using an on-camera microphone. The camera was located in the zone between stage monitors and front of house speakers, so most of the sound picked up is coming from stage amps and drums.
