We did a lot of work in Mizipa mostly around Vicksburg and other pine treed hamlets. In the wee hours we would travel from Vicksburg to mill sites. At this one creek overpass we saw the old black man and his grandson and had their long poles fishin for crawdads which we bought from him for din dins. Perfect vouge image of rural Mizipa life.
