My new venture - on invitation from Womens Radio - is Tommie Talks Music - where I finally get my chance to realise another little dream of mine, talking to women ( and some men!) about their lives and their music. My focus for the show is on the people who have inspired me in some way with things in their lives and then I ask them to choose one piece of music.
This is all about people who have a real story to tell, my first show was interviewing Brian Ball who is the Director of Music & Talent at Womens Radio and who has been so supportive of me and my music but who
has a story of his own to tell - and who is a musician in his own right.

The second interview was with Mr. Joe Parello - a veteran performer on the saxophone who is now over 90 years young, but who is still performing and still recording. He is a talented musiciand and an inspiration
to me!

The following week I interview Claudette Harrell - Manning, known to everyone as the blues singer Sweet Claudette,
who has come through so many great difficulties in her life, many of which she does not speak of, and who has
been a very good friend of mine for a long while now. She inspires me with her love of life, her warmth and
enthusiasm and of course her very unusual musical style of singing.

Then I have Jaijai Jackson, Woman of Jazz as my guest talking about her Heal a Life with Music campaign, trying to raise money and awareness for musicians in need by means of promotion and the first ever Heal A Life concert live in Manahattan on Sept 17.

and this week I have the pleasure of talking with Toni Spearman, blues vocalist and songwriter, talking about her long career and success all round the world, her friendships and performances with Luther Allison, BB King and James Brown and her work for children who need help in many ways.

Hope you find time to listen to some of these....
