Tommie Talks Music to Sweet Claudette

This week it is an absolute pleasure to be talking with my good friend Claudette Harrell - Manning - my sistah Sweet Claudette!!

Claudette is a wordsmith who is wonderfully versatile in putting together great lyrics for any one of the genres she has written in - funk, blues, jazz, R & B - spread across her five CDs.

Claudette writes poems, prose and prayers and is currrently working on a fiction/non-fiction novel whilst also planning to be in the studio again in the Fall to record her next CD which should be released before Christmas.

She is currently nominated in the jazz and the blues categories in the Black Music Awards and this would seem richly deserved and appropriate for this unique artist who has been giving her all to Blues for the last 22 years.

Claudett is a wonderful warm, insightful and giving woman, who spreads love and light and laughter wherever she goes and I am proud to call her my friend. She has overcome tremendous difficulties to arrive where she is now - always with a smile and joy in her heart.
