LiveBluesWorld and Music Maker Relief Foundation are teaming up to support the Blues!

Many of you probably know something about the Music Maker Relief Foundation. Some of you may have even been helped by them at one point in your career. Music Maker is a nonprofit based in North Carolina, USA, with a focus on helping the true pioneers and forgotten heroes of Southern music gain recognition and meet their day to day needs. It's a noble effort, and one that should be near and dear to the heart of any member of LiveBluesWorld, and any fan of the blues.
They focus on helping artists who are rooted in a Southern musical tradition, 55 years or older and have an annual income less than $18,000. Often times, they are providing financial assistance to help a struggling artist heat their home, pay for groceries or get medical treatment they desperately need.
Other times, they provide the opportunity for an artist to record for the first time, or to restart a career that may have been lost forever. They help produce CD's that artists can sell to make a living, and they help book gigs to help artists build their career to something that can help them live their life. It's amazing what just a little bit of help can do.
$1 to the CDs for Artists program can put as much as $5 back into an artist's pocket. $30 can buy groceries for a week. $100 helps provide heating assistance each month for an artist in need.
LiveBluesWorld is proud to be providing the online fundraising support for the Music Maker Relief Foundation, and we'll be working tirelessly over the coming months to help get them through this holiday season.

Simply becoming a member of Music Maker can make a world of difference. Membership starts as low as$25, and you'll get a great CD if you join at that level. More importantly, your membership helps to support artists in need.
