The JOLIET HERITAGE BLUES JAM is coming off the summer schedule. Starting the third week of September we will be back to every Sunday. Stay tuned for more info coming soon. To get our weekly e-letter send "JHBJ me."
E-Z to get to: East from I-355 or IL Rt. 53, or west from I-55 to I-80 exit 130 A (S. Larkin Avenue/IL Rt.7) to first light (Meadow Ave./Frontage Rd.), turn right and double back 2/10 of a mile.
Better acoustics: Low acoustic ceiling with stage facing room diagonally. This will enable us all to perform at a friendlier volume and won’t sound like you’re in a high school gym.
Pro lighting: 8 total (4 per side) colored, adjustable spotlights.
More seating: All low-chair seating for 70 + guests (includes 20 + seats around a sunken bar) with an additional
20 + stools with elbow bar surrounding two pool tables. All seating has a great stage view and Harwood Lounge radiates a much warmer atmosphere!
Friendly price$: Your buck$ will go further because prices are noticeably better at the Harwood Lounge.
As always you organists whom are B-3 savvy will absolutely enjoy the honor and privilege of sitting in on brother Jimmy “Keez” Caleca’s 1948 Hammond B-3 w/Leslies and keyboard rig. Harp rig available for those who blow the “Mississippi saxophone.” So you see we have all the bases covered at the JHBJ. Guitar players if you prefer your own amp not a problem, bring a low watt amp. Bass players, Ben Smith says: I have the rig, bring your own bass. Kalbo says: I gots da kit, drummers bring your own sticks!
T-Bird Huck says: don’t worry ‘bout a thang! Just git here, then everythang’s gone be alright! Yeah!!!
