I'm happy to report that Jimmy "Duck" Holmes and I will be heading out to the East Coast next month for a rare appearance in New York City's West Village.
This unique event will be held in a private library - It's going to be a very up-close-and-personal, intimate event. Tickets are $35 and space is VERY limited. The event is being sponsored by our good friends at 651 Arts.
Here's the official write up:
Mississippi bluesman, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, plays a distinct straight from the Delta Bentonia Blues that has gained him recognition across the world. Hear Holmes play solo acoustic guitar and soulful vocals in an intimate salon setting. Choreographer Ralph Lemon, a long-time friend, speaks with Holmes about his life, art and ownership of the oldest known juke joint in Mississippi: the Blue Front.
$35 FOR TICKETS, CALL: 718-636-4181 X2229 West Village location. Address will be provided up ticket purchase.
