Johnny Winter's first two releases for Columbia Records in 1969 -- Johnny Winter and Second Winter -- not only featured the young Texas guitar-slinger at his best, but they also found him backed by an absolutely pumping rhythm section in the form of bass player Tommy Shannon (who would later go on to play with Stevie Ray Vaughan) and drummer Uncle John Turner. And on November 19 at La Zona Rosa's in Austin, they were all onstage together for the first time since 1986.
The tune, by the way, was "Johnny Guitar.
