Profile Information

About Me:
Judy is the CEO and owner of Lilac Moon Productions. She has worked in Los Angeles, Nashville and Europe as a singer, actress, creative advisor and contract coordinator for many artists such as Ricky Nelson, Bob Segar, Joe Walsh and for many independents in California such as Don Cox who charted number one on Billboard's regional chart for the State of California for his song "CRAZY GRINGO". Judy say's "I was privledged to know Jerry Reed, Buck Owens and Merle Haggard and many of the Movie Publishing people." Judy has been in Nashville for over 20 years, her publishing company has had hits in it such as a #23 by artist Memarie in the Billboard charts and a song cut entitled "Truth Is I've Been Known To Lie," on Ronnie Milsap's Heart and Soul Album.
The song "Somebody Gotta Do It" was cut by Blues artist Sam Lay and went to number 5 in the Billboard Blues Charts, then it was cut by Blues artist "Little Milton" and went to Number 1 in the same charts.

Judy has been a strong advocator of Blues music most of her life and has worked with various Blues artists and Blues organizations to promote Blues music.

Judy says "Been told I am also a strong Blues lyricist and take great pride in that one guys and gals. I am always looking for another great melody person to co-write with." Judy has had, in addition to the songs listed above, many other cuts by Blues artists as Amy Watkins, Danny Ramsey, Dave Duncan, Lisa Aschman, and a couple of blues bands as the BIG DAWGS.

Here is Judy's quote about writing, hope you like it... "I will live and write the Blues, till the oceans come to Tennessee"!

While working for the publishing company KELLY LLOYD MUSIC Judy was instrumental in the group Dave and Sugar with their number 1 hit written by Bobby Cox "My World Begins And Ends With You," this was at the time they changed record labels from RCA to Electra Aslyum. Judy's own company Moody Judy Music BMI also has had many album cuts by artists such as Gene Watson - "You Can't Believe A Thing I Say" and Ray Price to name a few. Judy says "My recording and producing here has been an awesome experience and I know a hit song and I know the great musical talent we have here and am proud that I call many of them my friends." TV credits include song cut for "Passions, Soap NBC and music in Jerry Reed’s made for TV movie Concrete Cowboys. Judy has worked side by side with artists such as Ray Vega/ Lance Miller, Conway Twitty, Porter Wagner, and Ben Hall who produced alot of the first Buddy Holly albums. Judy has had a ASCAP Shared Award for Tree Music Publishing song "Leave It To Love" and a MCA Platinum Shared Music award for George Strait's - Greatest Hits album on the rerecording of "Six Pack to Go." Judy is also a seasoned lyricist and a published poet so words are very important to her. More importantly is bringing the right melody person together with the lyricist and thus a song is born. Judy loves this business of music and the talented creative people she works with and then when she sees's one of her clients when they receive their final product it is RADIO READY and then see them eventually get a song cut or sell their cd’s and/or get signed to a major deal, is just pure joy! Judy is an active member of Nashville Music Pros, BMI among other fine organizations.

What's new Judy? I get to do a reacreation of the Dark Side of the Moon with eleven fellow musicians in Leon, IA this weekend. I am one of the back up singers. It is going to be so much fun. My son, Heath, is doing all the sax parts. It really sounds amazing! Thanks for your friendship! Bluebird

Every day we are jumping from one task to another – looking at the watch as a guide. No wonder heart attack is one of the main causes to death. We forget to pause, to look around and to enjoy friendship and family. The world is beautiful – you only have to allow yourself to see it - to experience it. Look at the watch, painted by Jette – given the title “Time is relative”.

Take care my friend, make time and have a great weekend.
Love and respect. Grandpa_Erik
