Dear Band/Artist,



This will be a rather lengthy email, my apologies for this but we want to explain EXACTLY what we do here on Radiorockcafe.com for the Indie bands. So here goes :



We are a REGISTERED COMPANY in the province of Quebec in Canada. We are also a member of SOCAN (the Canadian copyright collective that administers the performing rights of more than 90,000 composer, author and music publisher members by licensing the use of their music in Canada. They collect licence fees on their behalf and distribute royalties to them) which is the equivalent of “SoundExchange”, “BMI”, “ASCAP”, “APRA” and “UK PPL” .



Radiorockcafe.com is NOT a music download website. Recording, copying or ripping of the music played on this radio station IS ILLEGAL.



For more than a year now, our station has been devoted to bringing Indie music to more and more listeners using the Internet. RADIOROCKCAFE is a 100 % ROCK radio internet station that is happy to say that close to 50% of it’s programming is based on Indie Music.



We have a UNIQUE special request system. This special request system is not an email system where you have to wait for someone to take the request, it is all automated EVEN when there are no hosts on air, therefore once your music is included in our library, your fans will be able to do a request and hear it the following minutes after. This is also NOT a VOTE system, where people need to VOTE to get your song on the airwaves. As mentioned previously, as soon as your music is in our library, it becomes available for your fans to request and hear.



As mentioned earlier .. I’m the host of a show called INDIE TIME, it is an ambitious project in a very little mediatized crenel . It consists in getting the indie groups from the rock scene known. Every Sunday, RadioRockCafe will give approximately 2 hours of excellent indie music. The music of these groups will be on air 24/7 and it will also be part of the special request play list. We also do interviews over SKYPE(http://www.skype.com) with bands when we do full album presentations.



That is not all, EVERY half hour on our station (top and bottom of the hour) our broadcasting system takes 2 songs at random(but based on some rules to give EVERY BAND the same exposure) from the Indie listing and we broadcast them on air giving the Indies even MORE exposure.



Furthermore, we offer you the possibility to record jingles for the station .. For example : “I’m BeN from and you’re listening to Radiorockcafe.com!” .. As simple as this may seem, ALOT of our listeners LOVE the jingles already submitted and played on our airwaves thus giving THE BANDS that did those jingles even MORE exposure. If you would like to submit a jingle for our station, feel free do to so, please try and remain under the 30 second mark for these jingles an try to be original we have no specific guidelines for these jingles, as long as you name yourself and/or the band name and say at the end “You’re/We’re Listening to Radiorockcafe.com”



We recently had the chance and pleasure to work with many bands either by doing shows with them, participating in events or just plainly having them on the website’s chat to talk with our listeners. A special thanks goes out to ALL of them for their kindness, precious collaboration and generosity ! ! !

YES YOU READ RIGHT!! WE WILL PUT YOUR WHOLE CD(or cds if you have more than 1) ON THE STATION AND NOT ONLY 1 OR 2 SONGS like most radio stations do. We believe that if YOU as an artist thought the songs you’ve put down on the CD were good to be there. We believe that ANY respectable station should have in it’s library your WHOLE CD. Summed up, if it’s good for your cd, it’s good for our music library!



UNFORTUNATELY FOR QUALITY AND LEGALITY REASONS WE DO NOT ACCEPT MP3’S SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL OR ANY OTHER FASHION OTHER THAN PHYSICAL CD!
