FINALS - Chicago Blues Challenge at Buddy Guys Legends

Our band (Will Jacobs & Dirty Deal) has made the FINALS of the Chicago Blues Challenge! Presented by the Windy City Blues Society, this last challenge is to determine what bands/solo/duo performers will have the honor of representing WCBS at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis next January. - About Me:
- Our band may be young, but we have a tremendous passion and heart for the blues. Based out of the north suburbs of Chicago, it all began with singer and guitarist, Will Jacobs, who was playing the local blues jams around Chicagoland starting in late 2006. Beginning with Bill's Blues in Evanston, Will began to explore as many local stages as he could manage -- Rosa's Lounge, Hansons Tavern, CJArthurs, LaRosas in Hammond, IN, Ground Zero Blues in Clarksdale, MS, The Alley, Zachery's, and, finally, to the 2007 Bluesfest jamstage and Buddy Guys Legends!)
Connecting in 2007 with drummer, Brandon Waldon, the two began jamming while seeking a steady blues bassist. The age, style, location, and most importantly discipline that the two demanded from a bass player seemed like too many obstacles to finding the perfect third member. Their luck changed when they met bassist, Mike Zabrin. Their first practice in May of 2008 instantly clicked and the three began first at The Elbo Room in Chicago.
Frontman, Will Jacobs, has shared the stage with many Chicago blues acts including Aaron Burton, Tom Crivellone, Little Ed & The Imperials, Brother John, Sammy Fender, Chicago Babe, Chris Forte, Louis Zagoras.
Will Jacobs & Dirty Deal play actively throughout Chicagoland area covering original material and the sounds of great legends such as Stevie Ray, Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Albert Collins, etc. Their goal is to reach every age of blues fans but especially to bring blues to the next generation.

17th Annual River City Ohio Blues Competition in Marettia, Ohio
EXCITING NEWS! We have been selected by the board of The Blues, Jazz & Folk Music Society of Marietta, Ohio to compete in the "17th Annual River City Ohio Blues Competition", Ohio’s oldest and largest blues talent competition. Compeition Weekend is February 20-21, 2009 in Marietta, Ohio at the historic Lafayette Hotel in downtown Marietta. Only a handful of blues bands were selected to compete. We'll spend the weekend in the beautiful city of Marietta.
