Profile Information

About Me:
As Jon Norton of WGLT Blues in Illinois describes them, "The R&B Bombers are a killer jump blues band from Southern California." The band originally formed in the early 1980's and had some great initial success with their first LP simply entitled "The R&B Bombers", played in countless festivals all over Southern California and was the house band at the Ojai Bowlful of Blues for the first three years of it's existence, backing up artists such as Charlie Musselwhite, Johnny Copeland, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, and Pee Wee Crayton to name a few.

The R&B Bombers recorded in early 2009 and then released in the summer of 2009 a new CD entitled, "Bad Behavior."
Favorite Blues Artists and Bands
Ray Charles, Joe Williams, James Brown, BB King, Kim Wilson, Louis Jordan, Billy Eckstine, and Count Basie are just a few that come to mind.

Once a celebrated regional band in Ventura CA area in the 80s, the R&B Bombers went through the ins and outs and ups and downs of personel problems and changes. However, at the center of it all is the music. Mixing horn-drenched R&B and Big Band Blues, the R&B Bombers seem to be the West Coast answer to Roomful of Blues in a lot of ways."

"R&B Bombers" is the BEST reissue of 2008. We're still playing the livin' daylights out of this gem and gettin' lots of VERY positive listener reaction.
