The following text was written by and old and close friend of the band:
“They are the survivors of an era when whiskey was made under and with the complicity of the moon. With the everlasting presence of the blues, The Moonshiners are the product of a perfect marriage of all others musical styles that are present in its members, such as, soul, rock, experimental, world music and so on.
I’ve been following with great pleasure the evolution of this band, walking with them all over Portugal and abroad, mainly in one edition of the “John Lennon Songwriting Contest”.
I was there also when they launch their first non commercial record, “Corn Valley Blues”, and, of course, the fourth and last one “Dime Stories”.
I’m also standing at the crossroads, waiting for the moment to take them to my very hot and funny home.

- Now I feel it is the right time to thank you for your friendship and support in 2009. Still busy in studio, still working hard to get something we can call our own stile.
The 30th of december last year it suddenly appear a lighting sceanery on heaven. Luckely I managed to grab a camera and save the image. It was almost like the creator came down in his greatness. With this photo I want to wish you and yours a merry christmas and a happy, new year full of posibilities and great moments.
