It was a great pleasure to meet you and have you join us on stage! Thank you for your talent and especially for your friendship, I will treasure it and you always my friend!!!
Stacy started singing at the age of 5 in Zweibruken Germany at an Army show and after her first standing ovation there was no looking back. Fast forward to the present with her diverse background she continues to give you toe tapping, head bobbing feel good music that crosses all barriers. After forming The Stacy Brooks Band in February 2007, she was nominated for "New Artist of the Year" by The Washington Area Music Association. Since she began her quest of the blues she has been working non-stop up and down the east coast bridging the age gap on the blues circuit and importing fans from other genres. In her short time on the blues circuit she has shared the stage with blues greats Kenny Neal, Sugar Blue, Bobby Parker, Memphis Gold, Randy, Lil Dave Thompson (R.I.P.) Ronnie Baker Brooks, The Kinsey Report, Eddie Shaw, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, just to name a few. Her arrangements keep the integrity of traditional Chicago & Delta Blues while adding a spruce of rejuvenation. The musicians in her band have played with many other great artists worldwide and bring with them fans of their own. The music they make together with Stacy’s dynamic vocals, will have you wanting more and hooked on their groove.
The highly anticipated Love Peace and The Blues Cd will be released in a few months. Bluesmen Kenny Neal and Memphis Gold (her blues uncle) are producers of the Cd along with Stacy. She wrote 11 of the songs for the CD which includes German lyrics to pay tribute to her German background. The CD also boasts a duet with Kenny Neal and several other celebrity guest musicians that I'm sure will have you doing a double take. She was just nominated for a WAMMIE for her Live @ the Surf Club CD for Blues Recording & nominated Female Blues Vocalist 2009 by the Washington Area Music Association. Stay tuned, she is just getting started…
