Southern California’s best-unsigned blues bands will compete on November 13th at Paladino’s Club in Tarzana when the Southern California Blues Society presents the 27th Annual International Blues Challenge Regional Finals. Twenty bands will battle it out to win the right to compete at the finals in Memphis. There the band will be in competition with top talent from around the world, vying for cash, prizes, and the chance to change the destiny of their careers.The International Blues Challenge finals will be held in Memphis in February 2011 and is sponsored by The Blues Foundation. With more than 170 affiliated Blues organizations, and membership spanning the globe, the Foundation serves as the hub for the worldwide passion for blues music.
The first band starts Saturday afternoon at 3:00PM and the non-stop music will continue until 10:00 PM. This is an opportunity to hear some of the best music Southern California has to offer – from traditional to more modern electric blues rock. Cover: Non-SCBS Members $15.00 door. Southern California Blues Society Members only $10.
