Congratulations to Gregg Wright, winner of Southern California Blues Society's Regional IBC Finals. Big thank you to all 20 bands that participated in last nights event. The level of talent last night was through the roof !!! Our judges had their work cut out for them !!

Southern California’s best-unsigned blues bands will compete on November 13th at Paladino’s Club in Tarzana when the Southern California Blues Society presents the 27th Annual International Blues Challenge Regional Finals. Twenty bands will battle it out to win the right to compete at the finals in Memphis. There the band will be in competition with top talent from around the world, vying for cash, prizes, and the chance to change the destiny of their careers.
The International Blues Challenge finals will be held in Memphis in February 2011 and is sponsored by The Blues Foundation. With more than 170 affiliated Blues organizations, and membership spanning the globe, the Foundation serves as the hub for the worldwide passion for blues music.

The first band starts Saturday afternoon at 3:00PM and the non-stop music will continue until 10:00 PM. This is an opportunity to hear some of the best music Southern California has to offer – from traditional to more modern electric blues rock. Cover: Non-SCBS Members $15.00 door. Southern California Blues Society Members only $10.

Back by popular demand !! This year's Battle of the Blues Divas Concert presents many phenomenal female blues singers with one incredible backing band (Joe Kincaid and the Soul Brothers). A portion of the proceeds for this event goes to UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center : AVON Cares for Life Program; a life-saving organization that helps women diagnosed with breast cancer navigate their way through the health care maze. THE 28TH ANNUAL TOPANGA BLUES FESTIVAL - SUNDAY MAY 2, 2010 The 28th Annual Topanga Blues Festival is rapidly approaching at the beautiful Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in the idyllic shady canyons of Topanga. Tickets will be going on sale soon. Last year's phenomenal show also sold-out so plan to get tickets early this year.
