About Me:

My name is Wynston Perry.
I was born & raised in the mid-west (Indiana).
Every since I was a little boy I listened to the Blues from a
station in Nashville late at night when I was suppose
to be sleeping, I would be under the covers listening
to my little transistor radio, I was introduced
to the great ones like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf,
Bobby "Blue" Bland, Elmore James and the list goes on.
During my early teen-age years, the first time I heard
Jazz Organist, the great late Jimmy Smith, I fell in love with his
Jazz Hammond B3 sound, which was Bluesy by nature.
Then I knew immediately I wanted to play the organ.
As a child the piano lessons that my Mother MADE ME TAKE
(I wanted to play the guitar)
helped to prepare me to start playing in bands.
In my younger adult days I played in Funk and R&B Bands
performing in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. In the late 70's I
left Indiana and moved to Los Angeles. Since living
in Los Angeles I've been playing in local Jazz and Blues
bands. Currently I am accompanied by some talented
musicians, we play Jazz with a Blues Influence,
some Soul-Jazz and a few popular Jazz Standards.
