After a short break from gigging,Jane is back in the band on bass,we are currently playing some duo stuff around Adelaide.And will soon be recording our next CD to follow up Love & Blues.

A Scottish take on blues.?
Track added Mc Phersons Rant
I first learnt this as a school boy,written in 1800,a translation of one verse.
NEVER DID MY MOTHER THINK WHEN SHE GAVE BIRTH TO ME
A ROVING LIFE I WOULD LEAD AND HANG FROM A GALLOW TREE.
I sometimes play this solo acoustic,but recorded the band version playing slide,
then added a harmony on guitar.
In Scotland called a lament,but to me its Scotlands blues.

CD LOVE & BLUES
CD Love & Blues now getting air play, last week ABC triple J played ST James Infirmary,which led to 2SER Sydney
going to be playing a couple of tracks this Friday.On KK blues.
South Australian Roots & Blues putting a track on next months podcast.they have chosen MacPhersons Rant a Scottish trad song about a fiddle player ,who as he was led to the gallows broke his fiddle ,so after he died no one else would play it. I call it Scottish blues.!!!

As an old Aberdonian, you may know Mojo Pep (sadly no more) as they were a fantastic Aberdeen Blues Band. Spider Mackenzie on blues harp, Stewart Todd, vocals, guitar, keyboard and Jerry Jablonski, astounding lead guitar. I can't remember bass player Dave's full name and they had several drummers, Davy Cattanach being the only one I remember. Spider and Stewart have been very good friends of mine for years. They were quite an inspiration for me in my Blues attempts.
Whatever, nice to meet you and to see 'Scottish Blues' being carried round the world.

Yes, you are correct. There's a Gibson Les Paul Standard bass guitar I'm playing.
Life is now better for us becuse there is a bigger offer of spaces to play for those, like my band The Moonshiners, who insist in doing original music.
