My main influences are Muddy Waters, The Beatles (mainly Lennon), John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Led Zeppelin, Delta and Chicago Blues, Irish and English Folk, Roots Music, Ry Cooder, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Phil Manzanera, Robert Fripp, Otis Spann, Otis Redding, Traffic, James Brown, The Move, George Martin, but most of all my Father.
I also like Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Richard Thompson, The Analyst, INXS, Gillian Welch, Natalie Merchant, Sandy Denny, Eno, Dylan, Howlin' Wolf, Sleepy John Estes, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Espers, Steve Earle, Eminem, Little Axe, Bop Jazz, Americana, and lots of others.

I'm very saddened to hear about the death of Etta James. What a talent and one of the mainstays of Chess Records. Not many songs are more moving than her "At Last" and not many are hotter than "Tell Mama".
We'll miss her greatly.

I actually did win an award with my sauce when I lived in Chicago. I've tweaked it and improved it over the years.
Ingredients: Rockabluesic Barbecue Sauce
1 32-36 oz. bottle of ketchup
1/3 cup vinegar
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce (or add to taste)
1/4 cup mustard
1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
1 tablespoon black pepper
Optional (but recommended) ingredients:
