Thirty+ years of playing, singing, writing, and producing blues and I love it as much as ever. I play fretless bass and sing baritone tenor. I compose, and have produced a few CDs. I've played with lots of people you haven't heard of and a few you probably have.

Hello again rev.Jake;
A great keyboard player and a fine tenor sax player,
haven't played with either unfortunately . I notice the great Ian Drury in your list, here's a story involving him.
Bob Dylan starred in a film entitled " Hearts of Fire " and one of the scenes involves drummers auditioning for his ( fictitious ) band. I appear as the drummer who doesn't get the job ( which goes to my old friend Terry Williams of Dire
Straits fame ) but the scene has myself drumming while Bob & Ian Dury sit opposite me , Ian turns to Bob and says
" what do you think of this guy ? " and Bob says " he seems o.k. " Such a high quality scene with such stunning
dialogue is the reason I have to this day never seen the film.
Ian was a lyrical genius however.

Hello there Rev. Jake;
Interesting list of favourite bands ,
our bass player Pete Cruickshank built a fretless bass for
himself many years ago , It's fascinating watching him play the
more traditional style blues tunes using that instrument.
Glad to see you on the site.
