Johnson... and this leads to Art Tatum...and then to Monk and all the way thru Jazzland... But I'm as much into Tom Waits as I am into Louie Prima as I am into King Pleasure, to King Curtis, to Curtis Mayfield, to Percy Mayfield, to Percy Sledge, to Sister Sledge, from Mose Allison to Van Morrison...from Doc Pomus to Dan Penn...and both Lieber and Stoller!!! ...I love any music that is played with Heart & Soul, Taste & Talent, Truth & Style, and Rhythm & Blues!
