Back to Clarksdale 2010

Hi Everyone,In July, 2009, I spent a week in Clarksdale, MS and a couple of days in Memphis, and had such a great time, I decided to go back again this past summer (June 28-July 6).I stayed 7 nights in the "Pinetop" Perkins shack at the Hopson Plantation, the same shack I was in in 2009. This year, I decided to check out some of the sites I missed the first time around. I went to Muddy's homesite at the Stovall Plantation (where, purely by coincidence, I bumped into an old friend and his wife…See More

My trip to Clarksdale, MS and Memphis, TN

Hi Everyone,

Last month, I spent a week in Clarksdale, MS, widely considered to be the "epicenter" of the Delta blues. (The "Delta" is a region in the northwest corner of the state, and has nothing to do with the actual geographical Mississippi Delta, where the river enters the Gulf of Mexico.) Many of the big names in blues and R&B were either born there or spent lots of time there, like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Ike Turner, "Pinetop" Perkins, Howlin' Wolf, and many… Continue

The 30th of december last year it suddenly appear a lighting sceanery on heaven. Luckely I managed to grab a camera and save the image. It was almost like the creator came down in his greatness. With this photo I want to wish you and yours a merry christmas and a happy, new year full of posibilities and great moments.
Peace, love and respect.

Every day we are jumping from one task to another – looking at the watch as a guide. No wonder heart attack is one of the main causes to death. We forget to pause, to look around and to enjoy friendship and family. The world is beautiful – you only have to allow yourself to see it - to experience it. Look at the watch, painted by Jette – given the title “Time is relative”.

Patrick, they have remastered much of her works (Memphis Minnie) especially from the '30's! Almost anything you hear from her is gonna sound pretty clear, like it is only a few years old. I used to play some of her music when I was stationed in Puerto Rico over 11 years ago, and they loved it! 60+ year ol' music (now 70+) and you can still jam it! Tell me that woman aint bad!
