About Me:
Pat Pepin is a singer and saxophonist who knows the blues from the inside out. She sings with conviction and power, infusing her music with heart-felt emotion reminiscent of her vocal influences: Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Etta James. From a hardscrabble childhood in central Maine, Pepin began her singing career in the church choir, like countless blues and soul singers before her.
Pepin plays saxophone, guitar, drums and bass. She three times won the Maine Blues Society competition, representing the state at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2002, 2004 and 2008.

Her 2009 Cd "In it for the Long Haul" is a finalist for the IBC Best Self-Produced CD catagory. The winner will be announced Jan 23, 2010.
