- About Me:
- I grew up in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia and loved it there. I've been playing shows sense fifteen and starting doing it as a profession at seventeen. I love music... and as much as i love to sing and play the guitar, I still consider myself as more of a writer than any of those things.
I've always found it hard to talk to people about what's going on in my life, so i've used writing music for as long as I can remember as a form of release. I write about what I'm going through at the time. Happy, sad, whatever. If you want to get to know my personality, join me at my favorite coffee shop or hookah bar. But if you want to know who I am past that. My beliefs, hopes, things i've been through, just listen to my music. I've always found it funny, people except things when it's in a song. You know? It's like the music bypasses the judgmental tendencies we all have and we just except the opinion of the writer as art. An outward sign of who they are called "Expression".
I hope for the day within myself, that I can except others desires, hopes, and beliefs, for just that. Without judging them for expressing a rights they have. To live their own lives. I want to support them in that and converse... learning from everyone I come into contact with. Because, who's really right anyway? Honesty is so condemned, judged and ridiculed. Then we ask why people aren't honest? Right.
I hope to tell a story in my music that you can relate to, feel, and remember. We all go through crap. Some just don't know how to express it, what to call it, or how to deal with it. I've found in my own life, when someone else describes for you, what you're going through, and can put into words the opinions and emotion you're feeling, it can help you put things into perspective. Maybe even feel a freedom. Not because anything has changed, simply because someone understands and get's it.
I don't strive to be right in anything I do. Lyrically, or in opinion.
Just honest.
