WOODY & THE BLUEPACKERS
WOODY & THE BLUEPACKERS is a blues pub-rock band from Rotterdam.
The members of the band come from different musical backgrounds: 60's beat, 70's punk, 80's new wave, hardrock, blues, reggae and even disco have scarred their past (and their faces)!
Lots of bands have seen the light and just as much have bitten the dust since then until that inevitable period of silence arrives...
HOWEVER:
The chilly autumn of 2007 once more proved that blood is thicker than water.
Telephone calls were made, meetings held and instruments were cleaned, repaired or even necessarily bought again ("because that drumkit has only been standing in the way for years...").
Usually men of a certain age spend their savings on way too expensive motorcycles, but not in this case.
These 50-year old boys have thrown themselves into a new musical adventure again...
At the moment the repertoire mostly consists of classic covers from artists like Red Devils, ZZ Top and Dr. Feelgood.
They are working hard on their own songs and in January 2010 a cd has been recorded for promotional use... The 6 songs of this cd are on this page!
