About Me:
I love being alone with my guitars.... but when I'm on stage I seem to come alive. I've been told sometimes I try too hard. I never give up. I come from a military family. I've been married for 30 years to the same wonderful woman, Kelly. We have 4 daughters and they are all beautiful and talented and very smart. This is biggest success of my life- not my music. I taught drums and guitar in Twin Falls ID for 10 years and moved to WA in 2005. We live next to a big organic blueberry farm in Olympia Wa and I love being in the country again. I have a great band with wonderful people who respect me as much as I respect them. I am blessed by my God.(Thankyou Father). BB King was once asked what was the criteria for membership in his band and he said,"They gotta be 75% man and 25% musician" I love that quote. I have also been a goldsmith for 30 years and I still love it. I love to play the blues more than anything...almost!
My band is mostly a trio these days. Harmonica Brad Gould is the best harp player I've ever worked with. Period. My bass is Gary Elsey- the "Rev" what a great guy and solid bass- like Jimmy Lloyd Rea.
Favorite Blues Artists and Bands
Alot of my favorite artists are people I've played with from ID and Oregon and Colorado..Jimmy Lloyd Rea, Mike Moothart,Jumpin Johnny Sansone,Richard Soliz, Mike Trail,Fat John Nemeth,Ken Harris and Still Phil Garonzik. These guys are great bluesmen. I also love Ronnie Earl,Jimmy Vaughan,Duke Robillard,The 4 Kings-Freddie,Albert,BB and Saunders. RL Burnside,Sonny Boy2 ,The Wolf,Muddy,T-Bone, Robert Lockwood and too many others to mention
