BLUES for KIDS FOUNDATION....great program
I had the pleasure of meeting Fernando Jones, founder of Blues for Kids Foundation in Chicago. He told me that his organization recently had a Blues Camp for over 70 kids in Chicage at NO COST to the kids. The kids were from all over the country and played various instruments. What a great program to help keep the blues alive and thriving.....for more information contact BluesKids.com or call (773) 841-5262

Monday night blues party in Los Angeles (every Monday night)

FREE Sunday afternoon blues in Long Beach, California
I just returned from a FREE blues event at the Puka Bar, 710 W. Willow Street in Long Beach, California. It started at 5 pm and lasted until 9 pm....A great blues man Ray Bailey played guitar and really got down....Drinks are inexpensive and the crowd was very nice....kinda reminded me of a Mississippi Juke Joint, real soul blues....from what I understand, it will be an ongoing event every Sunday afternoon. RAY BAILEY is well worth seeing and hearing....thanks....
