- About Me:
- Blues lover...in SO many ways! My husband is Scot Sutherland, bass player for the Tommy Castro Band (now on Alligator Records!). Over the years he has toured with RJ Mischo, Percy Strother, and James Solberg...and he also does the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Revue tours with Tommy Castro, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Deanna Bogart and Magic Dick....and all of the others who have joined the tour along the way!
I love soul blues...but most of all I LOVE Delta blues...the gritty, dirty, REAL blues. I am a high school teacher who occasionally teaches a history of rock n roll class...of which the blues is the foundation of my curriculum.
I love blues books....blues fiction...or fiction with a twist of truth. Books by Arthur Flowers and Albert Murray are excellent examples.

- Blues is blues...it all needs to be heard. But, like I said before - I like the gritty stuff the best.
