USA Bluesman James Clem UK dates in May

Hi Friends, You may not have heard of me as I rarely play outside my west coast USA base, but have been performing live blues for over thirty years. I am playing some rare UK gigs in May. My style is a mixture of acoustic ragtime, slide guitar and even some smokin' vintage swing blues on my National uke!On Saturday, May 15 I will be playing a benefit for the Portland Stone and Quarry Trust at Drill Hall in Portland, Dorset at 6 pm. Profile Information

About Me:: I am an acoustic Blues Musician living in Portland,OR. I have been a Blues performer for over thirty years after having been given a National resonator guitar at age 18. I play a mixture of styles...delta, ragtime, and I'm a big Atlanta Blues (Blind Willie McTell & Barbeque Bob) fan and do a lot of their stuff. I also love twenties and thirties jazz and perform some of that type of material on my National Resophonic Ukulele. In 2008 and 2009 I played the Seattle and Portland Uke Festivals. Going to play some UK dates in May, 2010.

Favorite Blues Artists and Bands: Blind Willie McTell, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Blake, Barbeque Bob, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Lonnie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Frank Stokes, Tampa Red, Johnny Shines, Django Reinhardt, The Beatles.
