- About Me:
- I was born in a small town name Slayden Miss I grew up listing to the likes of Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, etc, we had another Great who was my cousin that played at different people house on the weekend after hard weekdays working in the cotton fields. His name was David Junior Kimbrough ( Junior kimbrough) after watching and listing to him I knew then I wanted to be a musician. I Started playing music at a late stage first playing the lead guitar and started liking the Bass Guitar better and decided to learn to play the bass. I am a bass guitar player I started playing the bass at in 1987 I started with a band call the JJ Blues Band I played with this band for 5 years playing with the likes of J.C and Bill Mull ,Charles Townsen and Chester Chandler. Chester, Moved to Arlington Va and Change his name. He is now Known as the world Famous, ( Memphis Gold). We were country boys trying to get started in the blues music Industry we travel throught out Miss and findlly end up playing on the World Famous Beale Street in Memphis Tenn. I left the JJ Blues Band and started playing with another Blues Band I met this musician name William Norris,from Chicago he was better Know as ( Sunny Mack ) he had played with the likes of Tyrone Davis, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy and the list could go on. he was one of the most talented musician I had ever met. Sunny Mack was my teacher he taught me every thing I should know about playing the guitar and playing music we form a band and named it ( The Mack 11 Band) we played togather for 6 years we started playing in the World Famous Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale Street opening up for the Legendary Don McMinn we Played there for 6 years. after that we started playing at different clubs through out the Mid-South traveling and playing Blues Festivals and for other occassions. I have played with other Greats : Carl Drew, Doctor "feel Good Potts," Joyce Cobbs, Albert King, Big Jerry's , Memphis Gold, Lee Shot Williams, etc I am now playing with the Joe Thomas Blues Band.
