- About Me:
- Intrepid Artists Int’l was founded in Dec of 1994 by current owner and President of the company, Rick Booth. Our offices are located in beautiful midtown Charlotte, NC overlooking the uptown skyline. Intrepid has always chosen to remain a “boutique” agency with emphasis on “Quality” NOT “Quantity.” For well more than a decade, we have represented some of the very finest musicians in the world and have become known throughout the industry as an agency that can be counted on for not only delivering great music but also for honesty, service and reliability. With a full staff of knowledgeable agents, Intrepid has been recognized by The Blues Foundation on two separate occasions for being the Best Agency in the business. Blues Wax Magazine has recognized Intrepid as the Best in the Business as well and the city of Charlotte has recognized Intrepid for representing the city well in the music industry.
We pride ourselves on having a very diverse roster, representing a wide range of roots music that includes, Blues, Rock, Funk, Jam, and Zydeco music. As many of you know, since Intrepid was in it’s early stages we have always had the finest stable of “guitar slingers” and "Blues Rockers" in the business that now includes Walter Trout, Marc Ford, Chris Duarte, Anthony Gomes, Mike Zito, and Ana Popovic just to name a few.
We also represent some of the finest blues artists in the world including Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials, Kenny Neal, Watermelon Slim and the Workers, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats, John Lee Hooker Jr, Lurrie Bell, Cedric Burnside & Lightnin' Malcolm, Bernard Allison, Curtis Salgado, Shane Dwight, Nick Moss & The Flip Tops, Lee Roy Parnell and John Mooney.
Our more “Jammy” roots rock artists include the likes of Marc Ford, Tishamingo, Jason Ricci and New Blood, and Last Waltz Ensemble and if it's funk you are in to, then look no further that Yo’ Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Mother’s Finest or The Original P!
If the Louisiana sounds of Zydeco is your thing, then we have that too, representing the very best in Zydeco is Lil’ Brian & The Zydeco Travelers, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band and Lil’ Malcolm & The Zydeco House Rockers.
