Grandpa Erik is right when he says "we forget to pause" - My friend has a lovely phrase "enjoy the moment" and that is something that will change your life philosophy from looking for the 'green grass' to evaluating…

Hello Ian, It was so nice to see you at The Prom - pity The Blues Cowboys couldn't make it!! We had a great night at Tubby's Blues with Doctors Orders and Danny Bryant. Sunday we had another Blues Fix when we went to see Eddie Martin at The Duke. I'm off to Tubby's again this w/e coming. John O'Leary and band play there and he was one of the finest acts at the Maryport festival last year. He played on the fringe but compared to many on the main stage (being payed mega bucks) he was ace and far superior to them. There were some main stage acts who did do justice their status but sadly one or two who failed to impress me - but that is a personal view. J O'Leary on the other hand had a packed public house or two enthralled with his skillfull subbtle and supreem gob iron blasting ,wailing and sweetly seedily seducingly mesmerising his audience. His fellow musicians such as Jules Fothergill et al equally restored my faith in the British Blues festival scene.
Well will stop here and get back to some other correspondants I need to talk to as I am very neglectful of this 'chat' thing at the moment.

Morning Ian - It is so nice to be in touch though I have not had a dance with you in eons! I have been Blues Trailing quite a bit this year. Must have over done it and with Husband ill and going down twice with dreaded 'flu' this autumn - well it's taken its toll! As for Danny B at Tubby's I hope it doesn't clash with my intended birthday bash when myself and a few modest and shy retiring gals from wild and woolly Wales intend invading the barren Bristol badlands as Larry Miller plays the Fleece on the 6th.Feb 09. We'll shop till we drop Saturday - find a suitable music venue Saturday and then catch the magnificent Eddie Martin at the Duke Sunday before leaving your fair city bereft,bewildered and b...........
Love Ya!

Hi Ian;
Finally got here old chap , welcome to LBW , so now two of the
Bristol mafia are in residence.
Saw Richard last night at the " Portcullis " , he seemed to be
enjoying himself , Paul Collins played some excellent guitar , oh and Richard
complimented the beer.
Kind regards
