Profile Information

About Me:
I have been a Blues Lover & player for over 30 years. I currently promote the blues in Fredericksburg, Texas - Texas' new home of Americana style music.

I have been promoting the Blues for over 4 years now here in the Hill Country. The producer of the longest running blues jam in this part of Texas, I have now moved that jam (Formally known as Blue Monday) to The Crossroads Steakhouse & Saloon. Now the jam is called ..... yes, you guessed it... Blues at the Crossroads!!! The resulting band that is currently formed at this jam is called "The Sensational Bona Fide Blues Band!!"

The Crossroads is a unique venue that really caters to the musician!! They have an incredible LARGE stage w/excellent sound & lights!!! Not to mention GREAT steaks!!! The Owners, Maggie & Gary, are easy to work with & make you feel right at home!!! Its a wonderful place to do a show!!

A frequent guest is sax player Spot Barnett. Spot was the band leader for many of the folks we consider Blues Ledgends nowadays, such as Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ike & Tina Turner, James Brown to name a few. Its a special night indeed when Spot comes in & takes over!!! All those years of touring & performing really show through in Spot's performance!!!! Truely a "don't miss" show!!!!

If you find yerself in Central Texas on a Monday night, bring yer ax and come sit in with us!!

Hey man Sorry for the delay here. I have been busy and just about forgot this place was here. But with any luck I will be living in Austin in a couple of months or sooner. I will definitely look ya up when I get down there. I love jazz and blues. Ya know I learned how to play from an old black man that lived on my block. This was the early sixties. He taught me an old blues tune "you got to come into my kitchen" I can't remember the official name. But that is were it started for me. Can't wait to get down there and find some guys to jam with.
Will meet ya soon,,,,,,,,Robert aka Kosmikcowboy

Hi Graham,
Here is my wish for the very best to you and all my LiveBluesWorld friends as we take the music of our heritage into 2009 and the 21st century.
It's an honor to be on this journey with you. ..and a pleasure to be your friend. Thank you for allowing me to be a member of the community.
