About Me:
I have been a Blues Lover & player for over 30 years. I currently promote the blues in Fredericksburg, Texas - Texas' new home of Americana style music.
For nearly two years, I have also hosted a Blue Monday blues jam EVERY Monday night at Silver Creek Beer Garden & Grille at 310 E. Main St. in Fredericksburg from 7 - 10. We have had many great Texas blues pickers stop by and jam with us.
A frequent guest is sax player Spot Barnett. Spot was the band leader for many of the folks we consider Blues Ledgends nowadays, such as Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ike & Tina Turner, James Brown to name a few.
The resulting band that is currently forming from this jam is called "The Sensational Bona Fide Blues Band!!"
If you find yerself in Central Texas on a Monday night, bring yer ax and come sit in with us!!

Hey man Sorry for the delay here. I have been busy and just about forgot this place was here. But with any luck I will be living in Austin in a couple of months or sooner. I will definitely look ya up when I get down there. I love jazz and blues. Ya know I learned how to play from an old black man that lived on my block. This was the early sixties. He taught me an old blues tune "you got to come into my kitchen" I can't remember the official name. But that is were it started for me. Can't wait to get down there and find some guys to jam with.
Will meet ya soon,,,,,,,,Robert aka Kosmikcowboy

Hey Graham, kosmikcowboy here. Still stcuk in the city but we are making our plans for our escape! LOL. It gets tougher every day to get out of here. Because of the credit crunch the house we were trying to buy is out of the question (budget) lol. SO we are looking to lease a place soon. Hope to visit your place soon man. Will keep in touch Kos

Sorry for the delay-I forgot about this thing-with myspace, etc. it's hard to keep all my "networks" straight! I grew up in Texas City and knew Doug fairly well in the early-mid 70's and hung out in SF with him during the recording of "Hell of a Spell" -he used my drummer Fuzzy Oxendine on that session. I stay in myspace touch with Doug's sons Shandon and Shawn and continue to be influenced by Doug-I do "She's About a Mover" and other Doug tunes nearly every gig. Hope you made it OK through the hurricane and when I hit Austin next I'll give you a holler-thanks for the note and sorry for the long delay!

I love Spot and glad to hear he's still active-I recall Speedy Sparks, Jack Barber and of course Augie and George Rains and so many other greats-I moved from Austin in '76 and haven't been back so I need to come back-before its too late!!!!!

Hope to sit in some Monday-I love Fredricksburg -used to ride my motorcycle there many years ago.
