Nice to be your friend. I've known many Memphissippi players who worked Chicago, at least they told me they did. LOL. And all of them were a big hit there.

Now that you mention it, I don't know of any Hill Country at the IBC. If there is I'd hate to miss it. It was accidental that I ever met Jr. and R.L. I sure glad we played some music when I did. They seemed to enjoy singing and playing an…

Thanks much! I am really curious about the IBC, having never been there. Without Junior, R.L. and Jessie, I wonder how much of the hill country sound will make its way into the whole genre this year?

Did I say I enjoyed the music! I hope to hear some Hill Music at the IBC. It's getting rare in Hill Country.

Favorite Blues Artists and Bands
I don't have favorites, but am partial to the family, friends, and neighbors that have a record or two.

I've got the guitars, drums and keyboards. All that's left to do is record the Hill Top House Band and get rich. Tommorrow, when I get time, when the mood hits,.............When I get a call needing it today. Oh well.

I do a little country pickin with the "Lane Austin's Smokin' Guns" on the song J.J. Jones, while Warren drums and sings harmony. I'm also in the mix on a few other cuts.

No sweat. We're coming back to Memphis in April and playing long and late. My Tele's a weirdo. It's actually an early ’80s Japanese Esquire reissue with jumbo frets, a solid steel bridge plate and a pair of late ’60s Gibson humbuckers. But it sings and feels great. Hope to see you next time, and I'm gonna be hanging around for some of the IBC stuff, so look for me there is you get a chance. Best, Ted

The Sunflower River Fest has a good line up and I'll be there fo' sure. I do like the Juke Joint Fest concept better as it's centered around the old juke joints but I won't be back in time for that. Hit me up if you go. I'll be jukin' beyond the call of duty.

Thanks for the FR. I'll be taking a Blues vacation through the Delta and Hill Country when I get back this summer. Going to miss Juke Joint Fest but I'll be down for the Sunflower River Fest. After six months in this God forsaken country you can bet I'll be jukin' hard... and that's for GD sure!
