Profile Information

About Me:
Started plaing guitar in 1969 - yikes!! I play guitar, slide, piano, and vocals. I've had some modest success - one of my bands, The Beaumonts, was nearly signed by House of Blues, but, after a 5-day lock-in at Kiva Studios in Memphis, and months of conversations, they ended up passing on us. Oh, well. At least I got to record in the same room that Stevie Ray recorded his last album in. Worked with a couple of big name producers - David Z (Rivken) (Prince, Johnny Lang) and Micajah Ryan (Bob Dylan, Guns 'N Roses, Megadeth), and have remained friends with Micajah over the years. I've worked as Eddie King's guitar player, opened up for John Mayall, James Cotton, Leon Russell, Leon Redbone, Li'l Ed and the Imperials, and Johnny Clyde Copeland. I have jammed with Dave Goldflies (Allman Bros) and Randy Jo Hobbs (Johnny Winter). So I guess I've had a pretty good run, for a local kind of guy. I'm a weekend warrior now. I'll keep playing 'til I can't play no mo'!
Favorite Blues Artists and Bands
Allman Bros, Beatles, BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Steely Dan, Johnny Winter, and of course, many, many others.

PS Even if now is not the best time to join, could I at least get you to bookmark the site for future reference?
