I started playing bass at age fifteen back in my native Michigan, and I've been singing as long as I can remember. I spent the late Sixties and early Seventies touring in the Midwest with the rock band Touchstone and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1972.
Over the years, I've shared the stage and recorded with some of the Bay Area’s finest rock, blues and alternative musicians. I currently work with multi-talented singer/songwriters Volker Strifler, Jessie Turner and Ira Marlowe and their bands, and I have an ongoing 16-year association with producer/guitarist extraordinaire Kevin Russell. Along the way, I've also logged time with such Bay Area greats as the Detroit Disciples, Daniel Castro, Ron Thompson, Chris Cain, Steve Gornall, Bobby Walker, Guy Arrostuto, Gary King, and the legendary Alameda All Stars.
When Volker Strifler was putting his new band together seven years ago, he called me to fill the bass slot and team with award-winning drummer Gary Silva in the Volker Strifler Band rhythm section. My playing is featured on the band’s current Blue Rock’It Records release “And the Dance Goes On”.
I'm writing and compiling songs for my own solo effort, and am available for live performance, recording sessions, and clinics. I'm also accepting students at 851 Music Studio in Benicia, CA.
