Soothing Your Sadness Is My Business and My Business Is Da' Blues Baby!
Being on the frets of my guitars for more than 54 years my synopsis of the Blues is the following . . .
There are many things that gives a person the Blues but in most cases it's a lover that has left, a lover that has lied, a lover that has cheated or a lover that just can't be found. So with that said, we all understand that the Blues is all about being sad, hurt or maybe sorta' mad, right.
Without getting into details I can honestly tell you that I know all about sadness. Oh yes, do I eva' know all about sadness. I have cried many times about things that have saddened me and I am sure without doubt, I will again.
But the thing that trips me out the most about being sad, hurting, crying and
having the Blues is, it takes another person's expression of their Blues to sooth your Blues, Go Figure!
Anyway, I'll just keep trippin' on that but for now, I'll get on with
introducing you to my on-line web presence and try to give you a lil' something that will make you feel better or shall I say . . . Sooth Your Sadness Baby!
The first four tracks are what I love to do the most, (play live solo acoustic Blues) and as you get deeper into my tracks the more general my Blues comes to be. By the time you get to the bottom of my tracks thing are going to take a twist and becomes sorta' like a "Funky Country Blues" Baby!
Also - be sure to read my track notes and visit the sites of my friends that are on several of my tracks with me.
Well, it's 7:07 AM - (04/04/09). Today is the day that I make a final decision on retiring from the trucking industry and offer my Blues talents to private parties, bands in need of a Blues guitarist/vocalist for short notice fill in, coffee house acoustic gigs and ect. I have spent my entire life to date chasing that dotted line across the USA for approximately 3-1/2 million miles and at the age of almost 60 years young, I am feeling that maybe, just maybe…
