Dave, Do you know where you'll be playing solo? Jake's right about the valvestate vs tube amp thing. If you're playing in a quiet coffeshop, a valvestate might be OK but if you have to turn it up it could sound terrible. After…

Sure, blues is in the fingers (or voice, or whatever), but since you want people to listen to it, it doesn't hurt to think a little about your tone - and gear affects your tone. =) One thing about your setup I cannot agree on is the Valve…

I just plug an acoustic/electric into whatever PA or amp is available. I may use an EQ pedal just for added control from my seat. That's usually it. If I get paid more, or am expected to provide dance music, I add drums/percussion under my…

It starts in the brain then goes to the vocals/fingers simultaneously. No segregation

I don't really agree... In my opinion what makes a blues song is the general feel much more than the different components. You can do beautiful instrumental blues just as well as you can make acapella blues. A moan from a guitar/sax/harp can…

It is the feeling and the music, they have to make a perfect match.....lyrics are relatively important in the blues but the feelings has to be there. to me this song is perfect! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPLi0dq0tOk

The way the singer delivers the lyrics with sincerity and phrasing makes a big difference in whether I pay attention. I also listen for the actual tonality and timber which gives the expression a quality that is hopefully unique. Many people think…

yes but not exactly i started with harmonica jews harp and (caveman) song bow. you literally sing through those instruments, and blues is easily recognized without any vocals at all. later i learned to slide those feelings on a string working it…

I love this question! I think about it sometimes, too. I've heard people describe the blues as a lifestyle that bleeds into musical expression-- and I find that this definition works for my ~classification needs. ; )

yeah its inflection on the voice but also the ability to sing blue notes, which is in 17 note scale. you cant really bend notes on a piano. so if like whitney houston starts wailing a solo, the piano usually stops because shes singing notes that…

Now I feel it is the right time to thank you for your friendship and support in 2009. Still busy in studio, still working hard to get something we can call our own stile.
The 30th of december last year it suddenly appear a lighting sceanery on heaven. Luckely I managed to grab a camera and save the image. It was almost like the creator came down in his greatness. With this photo I want to wish you and yours a merry christmas and a happy, new year full of posibilities and great moments.
Peace, love and respect.

Every day we are jumping from one task to another – looking at the watch as a guide. No wonder heart attack is one of the main causes to death. We forget to pause, to look around and to enjoy friendship and family. The world is beautiful – you only have to allow yourself to see it - to experience it. Look at the watch, painted by Jette – given the title “Time is relative”.
