My name is Colin Mack and I was born in Scotland. At the age of 16 I emigrated to Australia. I discovered the world of music late, as I was 20 years old before I first seriously picked up a musical instrument, this being the Harmonica. Surprising myself, family, friends and enemies with my affinity for this particular instrument and after honing my skills on the Jam Circuit and guesting with many quality bands and recording artists. I joined my first serious band 'Drowning On Dry Land' in my early 30's. Over the Years I Guest Appearanced with some of Australia's best musicians, including Phil Manning, Gwyn Ashton, Dutch Tilders, Geoff Achison, Mike Rudd, Mick Pealing, Body Motors, Swinging Sidewalks, members of Men At Work, Stars and Rose Tattoo. 10 years later after laying roots of a solid career in Australia, I decided to try my hand in Europe. 3 Days after arriving in Amsterdam Holland I found myself in a guest jam with long established Dutch Boogie Blues Outfit SUGAR MAMA. For the next 2 years I toured Europe and Ireland with them and eventually left with drummer Eugene Arts to form the band ORIGINAL SIN which toured heavily until 2002-at one stage with Brian Robertson of ThinLizzy as guest for a few weeks-a special experience among many on this O.S. sojourn. Since returning to Australia in 2003 I have been involved as a session musician playing harp and sax with various musical projects, including a stints with rockabilly/blues outfit Jump Devils and the Blue Rhythms.. For the last two years I have been studying music at Boxhill college where I have just completed a diploma..This year ,as I have moved to Geelong I will be continuing in my studies with an Advanced Diploma in music at Gordon institute. Since moving to Geelong I was recently involved in a project coordinating and performing music for the play "Dimboola"which was great fun though a lot of work. I am currently playing with a new band named"Trailer Trash" on harp, sax and some vocals and this weekend just passed appeared with a large number of other bands at the "Anglesea Festival" in Victoria.
