It's all Muddy's fault...and to a lesser extent Jim Marshall's !!!Yeah...Jimmy Reed's. And ESPECIALLY Hubert Sumlin's. And Peter Green's...and Roy Buchanan's and ... of course, Elmore!!. C'mon!!!!

Well, folks have asked for a bit more info, so here's a bit more: I started BLUES OUTLET back in the spring of 1966 (!). Yeah...yeah...........I know; it's been a minute since then.
Anyway, as I was saying, the initial idea was to take the Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed stuff and take it all the way back to THEIR roots. And that's been my mission ever since.
The results can be heard on the I FEEL SO GOOD! CD and.particulartly on the forthcoming TRUE-TONE CD.
(Both albums were partly recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis...birthplace of rock 'n' roll and the place where Wolf, BB, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins, Rufus Thomas, Ike Turner et al. recorded their landmark tunes. A VERY heavy place !!!)
We've had the honour of doing shows with Muddy, Hubert Sumlin, John Mayall (dozens of times), James Cotton, Mighty Joe Young, Albert Collins, Mick Taylor, Robben Ford, Bobby "Blue" Bland....and lots more. So, all in all, it's been time well spent.
Lots more info as well as vintage pix etc.can be seen on the bandsite:BLUESOUTLET.COM. So...See you there, OK? OK!!
Hey, how about that blues Finland friend. How can any male refuse a beautiful face like that. I have her too. I found a Stevie Ray club on here. If they only knew how much contact with him we had.

Hey Bob, I looked for you on facebook. Talked to the youngest one of us Chris B
You have some great photos up here, and posters. I like the one with Bob Riichards behind yyou with a blank expression on his face.I am taking singinng lessons. I don't expect to be the next Muddy Waters, but I can try. It turns out that Chris Brown knows my sons guitar teacher in Cal. Don't be a stranger

Hey Bob,
We definitely gotta get you on Blindman's Blues Forum! A website I help promote. It's worth looking up, believe me. Just GOOGLE it. Over 500,000 posts! Please stop by. You'd make a fine addition to the forum.
I lost my site for a while, or I lost myself. Send our old friends back to my site will you. If you have any time to record I finally can get away anytime after 2 weeks I set a few harps up for overblows, now they overblow well, but don't chord as well. I have been building custom harps and they are comming out pretty good.

Yup! The very same! I introduced John Hammond to the audience at Abertillery Blues Festival in 2007. Great musician who colours his music with fantastic anecdotes. We've been hosts of Abertillery Blues Fest every year since its inception and love festival work - we get to interview lots of people and it generates a wider network for our show.
Darren continues editing Blues Matters and the last I heard, Alan was recovering well. As for Euron, he had his BBC Wales show pulled a year or so back (with very little notice, I heard). I think he still plays with his band, The Soda Men.
This means that we are the ONLY dedicated Blues Show being regularly broadcast from Wales (as far as we know anyway)! Not just the best!!! We're just waiting for the BBC to approach us... seems to be taking them a long time...
