"hey Larry! I've discovered yet another networking page, hmm, looks familiar...
To all who might read this, Larry is a bad cat on the B3 and piano, LOOK OUT!
See you at the next gathering of blues disciples and wanton rockers."
Singer, songwriter, piano/organ player and guitarist, I work with my band and as a freelance sideman. Best known as a rhythm & blues artist, I also play rock & roll, jazz, and country. For the past seven years I have had the honor of touring worldwide as music director for Grammy-nominated vocalist Bettye Lavette. I've released one CD under my own name, "Willie Mae", and two with Whit Hill & the Postcards, "We Are Here" & "Farsighted".
At this point I've played concerts, clubs and festivals on 5 continents and in most U.S. states, and with the Lavette band appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Austin City Limits. I've also been involved in several recording projects with Ms. Lavette.
In 2008 I moved to Nashville, TN with my wife Whit, and a large mutt-weiler. Whit and I perform together and separately around town, out of town, and continue to record.
