Just found out that we were co winners of The Coolest Blues Song 2011 competition sponsored by The Big City Rhythm And Blues Magazine.  The name of the song I wrote is The Mill Block Blues.  What a happy day!

I'll add this one.  When I write Blues songs, it's usually about things that went on in my life. Things such as: Being raised by a loving but poor Mom and Dad. Being raised in the poor part of town.  Having a heart break experience by a lot of women.  Finding the true love of my life.  And finding out that back in the 40's I was born as a "Bastard Child" and being treated as such by the well to do folks in McKinney, TX.
