Recorded at Blues On Whyte in Edmonton, Alberta Canada just two weeks after taking first place at The International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, “Live Blues On Whyte,” features Columbus natives Sean Carney (guitar & vocal) and Eric Blume (drums) who have been touring internationally since 2006. They are joined by Edmonton musicians Graham Guest on Hammond B-3 and piano and Chris Brzezicki on upright bass. Steve Perakis will be on bass on March 7.
“Live Blues On Whyte” was released on Carney and Blume’s own Nite Owlz Records label and the recording was engineered by Eric Blume and mixed and mastered in Columbus by Mark Puskarich.
In March, The Sean Carney Band will open for legendary guitarist Johnny Winter at The Carolina Theater in Greensboro, NC just before embarking on a five week European tour. In June, The Sean Carney Band will open the historic Lincoln Theatre in Columbus with saxophonist Gene Walker.
