Sadson Music received word yesterday that the Rusty Wright has been accepted by Armed Forces Entertainment to entertain overseas military personnel and their families. No tour dates have yet been scheduled.

Each year, Armed Forces Entertainment hosts over 1,200 shows around the world, reaching over 500,000 personnel at 270 military installations. From muddy make-shift stages to show-stopping extravaganzas, the performances bring a piece of home to those stationed far away from home.

How cool is that!

Since you are going to be inducted into the military, does this mean that the "long-haired one" will have to get a haircut? :-b

I can't think of any thing nobler than entertaining a group of people who are giving so much to this country.

Congratulations.

LOL Nope. No haircuts in the long-haired one's immediate future. The tours are usually two weeks or less in length and where we are sent depends on requests received from the various regional headquarters. There is a possibility of multiple tours within a year.

The regions are divided this way:
Pacific: Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Guam, Hawaii, Singapore, Kwajalein,
and Australia

South, Southwest, Central Asia:
Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia,
Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Djibouti, Kyrgyzstan, Diego Garcia

Western Hemisphere: Greenland, Honduras, Cuba, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Andross Island

Mediterranean: Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt/Sinai, Portugal/Azores

Europe/Balkans: Germany, UK, Norway, Belgium,Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Netherlands
Congratulations to a wonderful friend, dynamite entertainers and fantastic singers. Very deserving.
Love you,
Sweet C & Greg
