Music Fundraising Caveat

The plethora of fund-raising shows being announced spotlight the heart of musicians. Their efforts go beyond immediate relief. They are shining examples that some good come from tragedy.
Aiding others affected by tragedy helps us almost as much as the recipients.
Reaching out is one of the best ways to attain happiness. Empathy is its own
reward.

I believe in this very strongly, but mustn't allow my heart to completely control my rational thoughts. Whenever the world is gripped by an unfolding disaster there are a small number of
opportunistic people who use that emotion to induce people into their con.
