If a band jams in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?

What is the sound of no hands clapping?

Jumpin' off the alt-blues thang and conceding that the no label thing is the better answer, how will folks ever know about the afore mentioned junque?

When I'm on the phone with Fred, the talent buyer and fry cook at Fred's World Famous Basement Lounge, trying to book a gig, he will ask; "What kind of music do you play?" What will the answer be? Remember, the fries are almost done and will burn if you don't answer in one sentence or less.

Not so much, I've just been watching The Simpsons.
Hey, NO giant chicken has beaten me yet!
"both kinds....country and western!"
Wait a minute, is the band that jams in the woods deaf?
Possibly. Those basement jams can get LOUD.
A combination of blues, rock, and progressive roots music - Rockabluesic.

Now pass the fries.
"The kind that will make all your patrons ask "Where have you been all my life ?". :)
Now here's an extra $100 for playing 5 encores!
Funny, but I've been using a similar line. That scenario has actually played out in a few isolated cases and the line does get the gig. It works especially well when the person doing the booking is on the fence about trying something different.
that's a bear of a question.
