DARREN WATSON'S TUNE ON TOP OF THE WORLD.

It was announced earlier today that New Zealand blues musician Darren Watson's song 'All Going Wrong' has been judged the best blues song in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition for 2008. Darren's song was selected from over 15,000 entries from around the world in 2008. Judges included Tom Waits, James Cotton, John Mayall, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

The first prize package is worth several thousand US dollars, however Watson says he is more excited about the possibilities of the win potentially opening some doors in the US music industry for him.

'All Going Wrong' was originally released on Watson's critically acclaimed 'South Pacific Soul' album in late 2005. He has a new album due for relase later this year on New Zealand roots indie label Red Rocks Records.
